This picture is of Mr. Burns at the MDI wrestling meet. This picture is my best because it uses good composition, implied lines, and good use of positive and negative space. The composition of this piece is one were the subject is not centered or placed in one specific area, the of the photo. He takes up the space that is needed to attract your eyes.
The angle here also adds to the composition. It allows you to see Burns in a different way. The positive and negative space here are used well. The positive space doesn’t take up all of the picture, well the negative space helps place him in a setting.
I think this is a great picture of Mr.Burns. The angle is perfect. I agree with you that it does show him in a different way. Also, he does take up the space needed to attract my eye. That's why I picked this photo. I really like it. :]
ReplyDeleteI agree with the angle - it's great. It really emphasizes his emotion. I also really like the blurred negative space in the background. It really brings out his face. Nice work :)
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with you i like how the background is blurry. It does bring out his face more and it shows him happy. And it kinda makes you think about where he is staring at.
ReplyDeleteI like this picture, it shows Mr. Burns at an angle that I don't think I've ever seen him before. The photo has a nice balance of negative and positive space. And I like the fact that the negative space is blurry so to not take away from Mr. Burns.
ReplyDeleteThough, I find you are wrong when you say that "subject is not centered or placed in one specific area" as the object is placed almost exactly in the center of the photo. I feel it would be almost a better picture without the right side of the picture.
Finally, I really like the line in this photo. If your eye starts at either side of the photo, that black like in the background, with the help of his glasses, draws your eye right to Mr. Burns' eyes, which then draws your eye away from him in curiosity of what he may be looking at.
Very well done.
