I choose these pictures because they show the best difference in the way I have done the project. This really shows a moment in time at the meet. Here he had just sat down next to me and I took the picture of him as he was cheering for Zack and making a face at me. This allows us a brief glimpse into his life. One of our favorite parts of this picture is his eye, it causes an implied line. I picked Sarah because I really like the way I have layered the flowers full of color add to the filters that I used. I really enjoy how she is not looking at me.
These pictures are similar because they are both wrestlers and I see them on a daily basses. Both of these people are not looking at the camera and show there own personalities in a way. The differences between the two are, the number of layers I used. I only used one with Jared’s but I used several on Sarah’s. Here Jared looks like a porcelain doll, so unlike him, but this picture still shows him but in a different way. Sarah’s picture just plainly shows you, Sarah.
I learned about peoples personality and how I really need to pay closer attention to when I’m saving and what I’m doing. I feel that the my portraits could have been better if I tried to think harder and thought more about who each person is and how they live their lives.

I really like that Sarah's picture has a variety of color in it and in Jared's picture the bright white makes you automatically look at his face.

ReplyDeleteI like the picture of Jared. It almost makes him look as though he's messing around like he usually is. I think the picture may be too close to his face though. I feel it would be a better picture if you had included more of his body in the picture, though it's possible that I would change my mind once I saw that.
ReplyDeleteI don't care for the picture of Sarah. I feel the filter you used drowned the detail of her face out too much, so you don't really get to see much of any emotion on her face.
I love your pictures. I think you did a very good job on both of these. I really like the filters you used on both pictures, and I also like the angle that you took the pictures from. They both have good composition.
ReplyDeleteI like the filter you used on Jared. It makes his face look more smooth, showing good contrast against his dark hair. I also like how the background is somewhat blurred out. Gives the photo good composition. The layers and the colors you used on Sarah's photo look great together. Nice job!
