My 2 Best Portraits!

Jared Sargent is our 215 wrestler
Sarah Merrill one of our 130 wrestlers

I choose these pictures because they show the best difference in the way I have done the project. This really shows a moment in time at the meet. Here he had just sat down next to me and I took the picture of him as he was cheering for Zack and making a face at me. This allows us a brief glimpse into his life. One of our favorite parts of this picture is his eye, it causes an implied line. I picked Sarah because I really like the way I have layered the flowers full of color add to the filters that I used. I really enjoy how she is not looking at me.

These pictures are similar because they are both wrestlers and I see them on a daily basses. Both of these people are not looking at the camera and show there own personalities in a way. The differences between the two are, the number of layers I used. I only used one with Jared’s but I used several on Sarah’s. Here Jared looks like a porcelain doll, so unlike him, but this picture still shows him but in a different way. Sarah’s picture just plainly shows you, Sarah.

I learned about peoples personality and how I really need to pay closer attention to when I’m saving and what I’m doing. I feel that the my portraits could have been better if I tried to think harder and thought more about who each person is and how they live their lives.

Blog post!

I personally hate this picture. I feel that this is really busy and doesn't show very good composition. The things that I like about this picture is the colors and most of the affects I used on the pictures I have layered together. This picture also does a good job at showing his personality. He is bright and cheerful all the time, and the color here really brings out the brightness of his audited. This work here is not really the best.
My work this far has been fair. I could work harder and do more complete works. My personal favorite is the three panel piece. I like this because it shows what I see with the wrestling team. I made the once serious acts like actually wrestling and the captains meeting into a more of a fun time. Other then that I really think that I am doing a fair job in this class.

My best picture of the year!

This picture is of Mr. Burns at the MDI wrestling meet. This picture is my best because it uses good composition, implied lines, and good use of positive and negative space. The composition of this piece is one were the subject is not centered or placed in one specific area, the of the photo. He takes up the space that is needed to attract your eyes.

The angle here also adds to the composition. It allows you to see Burns in a different way. The positive and negative space here are used well. The positive space doesn’t take up all of the picture, well the negative space helps place him in a setting.
